possible milkweed here

although considered a wild edible, milkweed is not high on my list because of the multiple water changes needed

    yup that is milk weed, have you tried milk weed? taste it see if it is bitter, if it is bitter then is is not common milk weed, before you discount this plant harvest some shoots or flowers later on and try just boiling in water once, you just might be surprised.

      i have no experience with milkweed, but yes i’ll be trying it
      just read from various sources about the multiple water changes
      and if i’m out in the bush with minimal water,
      throwing away water to get some food doesn’t seem to balance out
