garlic mustard

April 4, 2010

it’s everywhere

crush some leaves between your fingers for the garlic smell and the roots are edible to0

i used to take what i needed for the day, butseeing as how much GM there was available, now i’m trying for long term storage for the winter months

second pic above is 2 clumps of GM leaves i threw in the freezer, and the first  pic, i made some small GM ice balls and also froze some roots

will be trying to dry some GM leaves later on

edit: still having trouble putting these pics in the order i want without putting all of them into 1 gallery

teasel ?

April 4, 2010

pretty sure the rosette on the left  is teasel, won’t know for sure until it grows a bit

pic on the right is a teasel skeleton

not much info on the net regarding the leaves being edible

most teasel info is about the roots being used for medicinal purposes

later in the year i’ll try the edibilty test for teasel leaves
